Finding a place to rent can be a stressful experience.  At Homes Group Estate Agents we try to make this process as easy and stress-free as possible to find your perfect home.  At Homes Group Estate Agents, we love finding people the perfect home.

Firstly, make an appointment or attend an open for inspection to view the property you’re interested in.  At Homes Group ‘WE DO NOT HAND OUT KEYS’, all inspections are done with one of our team present.  Now if you’re wondering why when others hand out keys, then consider this, if you rent with an agency who hand out keys, who has gone and cut keys to your new home? After you move can the agent tell you or the Police should you be burgled, who has had keys to your home?  Homes Group Estate Agents adopted the policy of NOT HANDING STRANGERS KEYS TO OUR CLIENTS PROPERTIES TO PROTECT, OUR LANDLORDS AND OUR TENANTS.  It’s that simple.

Once you have inspected a that you wish to make application for, please request a application form from our office, or download one , once you have completed the application and provided all support documents, please return to either our St Albans Office, Sunshine Office or Footscray Office for our property management team to process and then discuss and seek approval from the landlord.

Please note that Homes Group Estate Agents conduct extensive checks regarding tenancy applications including VEDA National Tenancy Database.  We may and our landlords may request further information in assessing your application and in some circumstances an interview may take place.  Sounds strict, YES, it’s why so many landlords choose Homes Group Estate Agents to lease and manage their properties.

The processing of an application normally takes 24-48 hours and you will be contacted to advise weather your application is successful.

If you’re application is approved, you will be required to make payment of the first months rental upon acceptance to secure the property.  We will discuss your move in date and arrange for you a time to sign your Lease Agreement.

Prior to collecting the keys for your new home you will need to have completed all paperwork and paid the first month’s rent in advance along with providing a Bank Cheque or Australian Post Money Order for the full payment of the Security Deposit (Bond) made payable to the ‘Residential Tenancies Bond Authority’.
